An activity of checking food enterprises was launched to ensure food safety by the Quality Supervision Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) on Aug. 24, 2010.

The activity was in accordance with the requirement of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China to promote food quality in 2010.

Together with consumer representatives, delegates of the Tibet People's Congress and members of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Tibet made an inspection of food enterprises, learning about their methods to guarantee food safety and the fruits they have achieved.
