Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region is home to 30% of the nation's total lake area. Hundreds of rivers run through the magnificent landscape of the plateau. The region is also known for its snow-capped mountain ranges. The regal beauty of Tibet's mountains and rivers has gained the attention of many tourists and the landscape is often captured by photographers.
