The 5-day "2010 Hunan Cate in Tibet Festival" kicked off on May 11 in Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region. 9 food enterprises from Hunan Province attend the festival and they communicate techniques with 9 ones from Tibet.

Rare materials of Tibet are appreciated by Hunan food companies and Tibetan food absorbing elements of Hunan food also receives applause from local people.

In addition to exchanging raw materials, food companies from Hunan and Tibet also sign a "5-year Communication Plan" to cooperate in aspects such as training, personnel and services.

The festival sets a bridge for cate and culture communication between Tibet and Hunan, and it will boost Tibet's food industry, according to Chu Liqun, chairman of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
