As a pioneer, Lhasa city firstly launched the "Micro loan  to women" project this year, which has greatly boosted local women's enthusiasm to start their own business.  

Zhao Jinhua, vice chairperson of the Lhasa Women's Federation further explained the project in detail to the reporter. According to the blueprint released in July, the maximum limitation of private loan for Lhasa women is 40,000 yuan, but for joint-ventures owned by women, the number can ran up to two million yuan.

Those women who have Lhasa Hukou(registered Lhasa residents) are qualified candidates applying for the loan. Joint-ventures, family business and private business are all accepted to apply.

Relevant authorities headed by the Women's Federation have conducted intensive publicity campaign, encouraging more business women to grasp the opportunity. Up till now, 11 women have successfully  obtained 65,000-yuan soft loan.
