Cello chamber music echoes in Lhasa

The Cello Chamber Ensemble of Central Conservatory of Music led by Zhu Yibing, a celebrated cellist staged an outstanding performance for citizens recently in Lhasa, capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR).

Music from operas including "Carmen" capriccio, "Dream of the Red Chamber" suites and "Ave Maria" were well-received by the audience of Lhasa.

As a member of the ensemble, Zhu Yibing, director of Cello Teaching and Research Section of the CCOM, founded the cello orchestra together with his students. They performed in concert halls, schools, universities and organizations in Beijing as well as many other cities trying to promote the duet ensemble in chamber music, which is very lacking in inland China.
