Side Frame of a Mural Depicting a Travel on Vehicles

Separatist Regimes, from the White Hall at the mTho-lding Monastery in rTsa-mdav Couty

This is a side frame on the lower part of a large mural. Side frames are usually painted on murals in monasteries, and patterns, flowers, scripts, or Vajra clubs (thunderbolt) are usually decorated on them. This side frame is composed of over ten layers of patterns, and human figures are painted on its lower part. Such a treatment is rarely seen.
