The contruction of the accommodation road for Tibet's Lhasa-Gonggar Airport, started in the April of 2009, has been completed recently. This project, with a total investment of 1.54 billion yuan, is one of the region's key projects dedicated to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Tibet's Peaceful Liberation.

The 37.856-kilometer road has been specially designed with first-class standard to support the expansion project of the Gonggar Airport with four tracks in both directions.
