Yarlung Commodities & Cultural Fair 2010 to kick off

The 2010 Yarlung Commodities & Cultural Fair, an annual activity in Shannan (Lhoka), southern Tibet Autonomous Region, will kick off on Wednesday, November 1.

Till now, about 6,000 private owners or companies from 12 counties in Shannan have registered to participate in it, sources from the organizing committee of the Fair.

To ensure the smooth operation of the fair, an organizing committee and an on-the-spot administrative office were set up by the prefectural governmen to take charge of  coordination, secretarial work, publicity, tickets selling for business participants, market administration, security, sanitation and traffic.

Presently, on-site preparation in booth placment, water and power supply as well as broadcasting have been finished, according to the organizing committee.
