An exhibition showing treasures and cultural relics of Tibet kicked off on July 6 in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province. It was a miniature of ancient Tibetan culture and the lifestyle from the 7th century to the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911).
A total of 127 pieces of items are displayed at the exhibition titled "Holy Tibet Treasures from Land Closest to the Sky" in four different showrooms.
The exhibits consist of exquisite Thangka paintings, religious instruments and statues of Buddha contributed by 12 celebrated monasteries and museums including Tibet Museum, the Potala Palace, the Norbulingka, the Cultural Palace for Nationalities, Chengde Imperial Summer Resort, etc.
