Up till now, a total of 249 reconstruction projects have been launched in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province with 3.62 billion yuan investment already made, according to sources from the Reconstruction Headquarters in Yushu.
Ma Shunqing, vice governor of Qinghai Province, director of the Reconstruction Headquarters in Yushu said, the reconstruction covers five main sectors, namely, urban and rural housing projects, infrastructure construction, public service facility, harmonious residence, distinctive industries and service industry.
This year, the housing project has started to be implemented for 11,655 households in the rural areaand 13,667 in the urban area of Yushu, and the house reinforcement project for 9,509 households has been finished.
The construction of lamas' residence in 50 monasteries and their facility has also been started at the same time.
A 7.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Yushu of Qinghai Province on April 14, 2010, leaving about 2,700 people dead.
