Huining County hosts 123 Tibetan students in primary and middle schools, which is an agreement made between Huining County and Maqu County.

Huining County is a large county for education and has helped over 50,000 outstanding graduates since the national university entry examination system resumed. With the help of both Gansu provincial government and religious people in Gannan Prefecture, Huining County agreed on receiving 20 students from Maqu County each year since autumn 2004. The aid will last for 15 years. Over the past 5 years, those Tibetan students made big progress on studying and other quality in Huining County.
