Thangka "Princess Wencheng went to Tibet" drafted by master Nyangbon and co-painted by Heren Qingjia and Sang Gyibo was finished after 6 months hardwork. This Thangka containing more than 200 characters with 3 meters high, 4 meters long will be presented to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.

Nyangbon, a famous Thangka painting master and advanced worker of the Intangible Cultural Heritage said:"I'm creating the Thangka for the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China for the first time. I intend to draw the harmony scene including leaders of People's Republic of China, as well as the people from 56 nationalities hand in hand. What I want to express by Thangka painting is the great national unity and our harmonious society."
Thangka presenting the folk custom and images on rolls of silk or satin is a unique art form of Tibetan culture. Thangka with extremely complex painting process requires delicate brushwork and special painting mineral pigments which can be kept for millennium without fading.
