Losang Kedup: inheritor of Thangka art


Photo from Xinhua shows Losang Kedup, a monk in Shangri-La, Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province painting Thangka on March 12. Losang Kedup, a monk in Shangri-La, Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwestern China's Yunnan Province, loves painting from childhood and has learnt Thangka painting from several masters. As a member of "Shangri-La Culture Protection and Development Association", Losang Kedup took in 10-plus Tibetan students from disadvantaged families to inherit and develope Thangka art.
