Xiahe: Thangka, a new career for Tibetan youth

In recent years, Xiahe County of northwest China's Gansu Province leveraged on its rich tourist resources and vigorously cultivated tourist arts and crafts keepsakes for better development of local tourist industry.

Many local young people  who are  fond of and good at Thangka painting in Xiahe preferred to  learn further to be Thangka painters. Thangka painter has become the starting point of their career development.
