China International Airlines launched a new route linking Beijing, capital of China and Lhasa, capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region with a only four-hour air journey.
It is the first direct air route to Lhasa from the capital Beijing, shortening 2 hours than the previous flights interchanged in Chengdu.
The carrier will operate one flight per day. It is believed the flight will strengthen the communications between Beijing and Lhasa.
