Bullboat dancing is a kind of folk art that has passed down generation by generation in Junpa, a small Tibetan hamlet. Nowadays, the dancing regained its vitality with the fast development of the tourism industry.

Junpa is a small village located in Quxu County, 50 kilometers away from Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region. With its time-honored history, the village is known for being the only fishing village left in Tibet, even on the whole Tibet Plateau. Therefore, it has become a hot tourism destination alluring tourists from home and aboard. Bullboat dancing is one of its performances to introduce Tibetan culture and woo travelers.
