Barkor Street is an old and traditional shopping street in the center of Lhasa. It is also a place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a place to which a visit must be paid.
As a marketplace where shaggy nomads, traders, robed monks and chanting pilgrims join together, Barkor has a long history. So it is not only commercial, but also cultural.
If you are an antique collector, you had better come to Barkor Street in Lhasa as this street is not only a commercial one but also is a "cultural street".
The entire street has more than 300 shops with more than 1000 street vendors.
