Thirty teenagers from Lhasa joined a party with peers at Beijing Children's Palace on August 1, marking a perfect ending for their five-day summer camp "Love China, Touch Beijing" in Beijing.
The summer camp, jointly conducted by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Beijing Aid Tibet Headquarters and Lhasa Education Bureau, has enhanced the communication between students from Lhasa and Beijing.
At the party, the camp members shared their unforgettable joyful memories during the five-day activity. Some expressed that they would cherish forever the sightseeing visit to some world famous tourist sites, such as the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, the National Museum, the "Bird Nest" and the "Water Cube".
This year witnesses the 90th anniversary for the foundation of the China Communist Party and the 60th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet.
To strengthen moral construction and reinforce patriotism and national unity education among the teenagers in Beijing and Tibet, 30 students from Lhasa were invited for a five-day summer camp in Beijing from July 28 to August 1.
The invited participants, including 26 Tibetan students, 2 Han and one Hui, all have proved excellent performance both in conduct and school work. And most of them are from poor families in remote farming and pastoral areas.
