Nagri to subsidize households with housing problems

The housing and urban planning authority of northwest Tibet’s Nagri Prefecture insisted on giving house rental subsidies in order to solve local people’s housing problems.

It took proactive measures to help with the application, reviewing, monitoring procedures of the housing subsidy.

In 2010, altogether 1.54 million yuan was subsidized to 571 people in 410 households in Nagri. Of the total amount, the central government allocated 1.23 million yuan, while the regional and prefectural government provided 231,255 yuan and 22,085 yuan respectively.
