The construction of the first low-rent houses has been completed in Chengguan District of Lhasa, capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region, photo from chinatibetnews.com.
The first batch of low-rent houses are expected to accommodate its first residents between the end of July to early August, according to the Construction and Environmental Protection Bureau of Chengguan District of Lhasa.
The 930 sets of low-rent houses are all well equipped with water drainage, electricity supply, security doors and fire extinguishers, etc.
There are two types of houses : one is two bedroom house and the other is three-bedroom house with each composed of one sitting room, one kitchen and one toiletcovering an area of 64 and 83 square kilometers respectively.
"There is a wide paved road in the west of the community extending to Nachen Road, " said Mao Hong, a staff member of the lLow-rent House Distribution Office of Chengguan District. "Soon Cisongtang Road will also extend to the community. The residents can enjoy convenient transportation."
At present, the Office of Civil Affairs of the Chengguan District is conducting the 5th checkup of the qualification of the low-income families who applied for the low-rent houses.
