Lying at an elevation of 4,200 meters at the foot of the Bandianla Jokul, south to the Himalayas, Khambu Village in Yadong County of Shigtse Prefecture in Tibet Autonomous Region is famous for the Khambu Hot Spring. With limited cultivated land, local villagers live mainly on animal husbandry, especially raising Tibetan yaks.
