New homes for Yushu quake survivors

A mason puts the finishing touches to a newly-built house in Yushu county, Northwest China's Qinghai Province, on Thursday Oct 7, 2010. A 7.1-magnitude quake jolted the county in April, leaving more than 2,200 people dead and thousands of homes leveled. The construction of the new houses started on May 4 and is expected to be completed on Sunday.
