A classified dictionary of Tibetan medicine

A classified dictionary of Tibetan medicine essential to the study of Tibetan medicine. 2,294 Tibetan medicinal herbs of 13 categories, each with a detailed account of its growth environment, distribution, property, function, usage and dosage. Also corrections to the Tibetan medicine dictionaries of various periods.

A completed Collection of Tibetan Medical Works

Completed in the 16th century on the basis of the Four Medical Classics, in particular its third part, and drawing upon the author's predecessors' research results and his own experiences. With detailed classification of various diseases and description of their methods of treatment.

"Four Medical Classics"

The Four Medical Classics is a Tibetan medical classic, completed at the end of the eighth century. The book title in Tibetan means the book consists of four parts, namely the Basics, Exposition and Argumentation, Secret Formulas, and Supplementary Medical Classics. Part one: 6 chapters (general knowledge of physiology, pathology, diagnosis and treatment); part two: 31 chapters (anatomy of the human body, causes of diseases, health care, medicine properties, diagnostic methods and treatment principle); part three: 92 chapters (diagnosis and methods of treatment for clinical diseases); part four: 28 chapters (diagnostic methods, such as diagnosis by feeling the pulse and checking the urine, compounding of prescriptions and their founctions, and external treatment).

Hanging Charts of the Four Medical Classics

In the form of continuous color pictures and in conjunction with the accounts in Four Medical Classics, making a systematic exposition of basic theories of Tibetan medicine, anatomical structure and physiological functions of the human body, causes, pathology and symptoms of diseases, their diagnostic methods and treatment principles, types, property and use of medicines, health care in daily life, medical ethics and rules. With 79 charts completed in 1703, and another picture of famous doctors of various periods.

Moon King's Medical Diagnosis

One of the oldest extant Tibetan medical classics with 113 chapters: anatomy of the human body, physiology, pathogeny, pathology, diagnosis and methods of treatment, medicine properties, and the relationship between pulse expressions and the viscera. Based on the block edition of Derge Monastery Printery.
