Tibet holds vocational skills competition for disabled persons

From December 24 to 25, Tibet held the fourth Disabled Persons Vocational Skills Competition in its capital city Lhasa.  

A total of 59 disabled contestants from different regions in Tibet participated in the competition and competing in events including clothes making, thangka painting, furniture painting, and blind massage.

“The main purpose of this competition is to improve disabled persons’ ability of solving practical problems, as well as to provide a platform for disabled persons to show their skills and to enhance their ability and self-confidence.” Norbu, a staff member at the Tibet Autonomous Region Disabled Persons Education and Employment Department, said.
