Repairs for big Buddha

A 71-meter-tall Buddha statue-enclosed by scaffolding in the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Zone in Leshan, Sichuan province-has been undergoing repairs and maintenance since Oct 8. The price of entrance tickets to the scenic zone were cut by half on Monday because of the work, according to its administrative committee. [Photo by HE HAIYANG/FOR CHINA DAILY]
