Tibet trains intangible cultural heritage inheritors
The 2017 Tibet Traditional Handicrafts and Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors Training Class was open on the morning of May 11 in Lhasa, capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. Nearly 60 representatives of intangible cultural inheritors of various Tibetan traditional handicrafts attended the class.

The training invited experts on intangible culture heritage from the region’s cultural department and scholars from Tibet University to teach. The classes included laws and regulations for protecting intangible cultural heritage, promoting Tibetan culture, enhancing the cultivation of arts, and the demise and transformative innovation of traditional handicrafts.
