Electronic devices facilitate monks
On May 17, monks having passed the advanced and intermediate Tibetan Buddhism title examinations at the High-level Tibetan Buddhism College of China conducted their thesis defense at the Western Yellow Temple in Beijing.

During their thesis defense, we reporters discovered something different. In previous years, the theses were presented on paper, but this year, in addition to a printed version, electronic versions on tablet computers become a second option of monks, who just held the computer to introduce their theses.

This convenient and environmentally friendly method is favored among monks. To them, using mobile phones and tablet computers to record their theses defense is also an easy job.

During their thesis defense, student monks sat on a dais while their teachers sat to the side. Butter tea was prepared for them, so there is no lack of warmth though the atmosphere was slightly tense.
