Tibet Nationalities Institute, the first college founded for southwestern China's Tibet, kicked off its 2011 campus cultural festival last Friday on October 14, 2011.
The autumn-themed event covers altogether seventeen activities in fourteen categories, as the institute introduced.

Tibet Nationalities Institute, located in Xian Yang of northwestern China's Shaanxi Province, was formerly the Tibet Public School built in 1958, and later changed its name to Tibet Nationalities Institute upon approval of the State Council in 1965.
With an overall area of about 42 hectares featuring pleasing environment and academic ambience, this oldest higher educational institute ever built for Tibet has cultivated thousands of talents who are speicalized in various fields and contribute hugely for the modernization and development of the southwestern plateau region.
