Salvos of cheers and applause featured this year's International Day for the Blind on Oct. 15 in China's Lhasa school for blind children in Tibet, when children carried out over 20 performances produced by themselves for celebration.

A skit named "The happy life Yangtsen" was especially interesting and won outbursts of applauses.

All the performances and activities are sponsored by the Tibet's Fukang Pharmaceutical Co, Ltd. During the celebration, the Tibetan Association for the blind brought electric heating bags for the children; China's Hydropower Engineering Consulting Group donated money, and brought rice and fruits for the children. Besides, some other people from various circles also donated money and brought daily articles for the children, hoping they can live an easy and happy life.
