'Fairy' in Dolma Canyon

Although it is about 4700 meters above sea level, there are beautiful lakes and mountains, lush forests with vitality. We were amazed by such a place of interest in Tibet northern grassland.

Dolma Canyon, here we are. Like North Tibetan history which is not fully recorded, the image of Dolma Canyon can not be found in book. It only exists in the life of Tibetan people.

In Tibetan language "Dolma" means "fairy". And we really met a fairy there.

Dolma, 27-year-old, lives at Ba Rongduo Village around the valley of Dolma Canyon.
"We are so lucky to have an interview with Dolma in Dolma Canyon !" we said to her. She stood there, and smiled, waving to us with her manicured nails painted red, black, and green. Her exquisite earrings sway gently.

Daily work or sun exposure doesn't leave any trace on this shepherdess' face. Thanks to clear air in the green corridor and fresh snow in the holy valley, She is still beautiful with vitality.

"My family has 12 oxen and 12 sheep. we are not rich." She told the reporter. Sometimes she would do part-time jobs in singing halls to earn some extra money. A few years ago, she and several friends even recorded a tape, called “shining Mt. Sanddian Gangsang".

The Tibetan girl also smelled business opportunities from the development of Dolma Canyon. "I'd like to open a restaurant or shop,or be a singer, or a tour guide if I could speak Mandarin so as to introduce my hometown to travelers." Her life is coming to a turning point. In the wind, Dolma tidied her hair with expectation and confidence.

"Dolma, you'r a born image representative for the Dolma Canyon!"the reporter smiled and said to her.

Chimed Dolma, anther Dolma, told the reporter that the Dolma Canyon was only 11 kilometers away from the 109 National Highway. With convenient transportation and the fast development of the scenic spot, peasants and herders who once lived on animal husbandry can earn money in local tourism.
