National defense knowledge contest ends in Tibet

Currently, a knowledge contest about national defense education concluded with receiving altogether 11,686 papers in Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR).

With participants including students, officials and grass-roots mass from not only TAR, but also other eight provinces and regions, the contest was jointly hosted by the TAR National Defense Education Office, the Political Division of TAR Military Command and Tibet Daily.

The activity honored 10 contestants for the first prize, 50 for the second prize, 100 for the third prize and 9 for the organizing prize.

The contest further accelerated the promotion and popularization of the national defense legal knowledge, pushed forward the large-scale implementation of national defense education, and boosted local people's awareness of national defense, according to Wang Mingxing, vice executive director of the Publicity Division of TAR Party Committee.
