The artificial rainfall undertaken by planes was successfully completed in Sanjiangyuan, northwest China's Qinghai Province.
Over the nearly five months, 15 airplanes undertook the work and flew 36,500 kilometers, effectively increasing the amount of precipitation in Sanjiangyua, known as the waterhead of three of China's major rivers (the Yellow River, the Yangtze River and the Lancang River).
The artificial rainfall has been done for six consecutive years and made remarkable achievement, and the ecological environment has gained sound development in the area.
