Tibet's distinctive industries promoted by state Industry and Information Department

Distinctive industries in Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) have developed smoothly under the support of China's State Industry and Information Department, according to the Department Forum on Work in TAR on October 27, 2010.

The Department focused its work on development of TAR's distinctive industries.

According to statistics, registered capital investment from Beijing to TAR has reached 0.45 billion yuan, mainly in mining, tourism and other industries.

The third aid-Tibet projects from Jilin Province contain ten industrialization projects with investment of 22.22 million yuan. Meanwhile Liaoning, Guangdong and other provinces have participated development projects in TAR.
