Revival of ancient Tibetan medicine in Chamdo

Located in east of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, Chamdo is blessed with abundant materials for making Tibetan medicine (over 1,800 kinds of plants, animals and minerals).

Chamdo is also home to a large number of professional Tibetan medicine doctors, accounting for two third of the total number in Tibet. Some of them are famous in China.

Founded in 1987, Chamdo Ritong Tibetan Medicine Research Center has developed rapidly into a Tibetan medicine base, now covering full sectors of Tibetan medicine business from production, marketing, scientific research and herb planting.

Up to now, Riton is capable of producing over 350 varieties of Tibetan medicines, among which 15 types are officially approved by State Food and Drug Administration. Ingredient turquoise pills, ingredient pPearl pPills, ingredient coral pills and other products have won reputation at home and abroad.
