This year the standard of 114 kinds of Tibetan medicines will be upgraded, of which 51 will be undertaken by the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), according to the Second Conference on Standardizing Tibetan Medicine held in Lhasa, capital city of TAR on June 23 .
The standard for the rest of Tibetan medicines will be adjusted by the medicine monitoring departments of Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu and Yunan Province where the Tibetans are also inhabited.
A committee will be established with the guidance of the food & drug inspection department of TAR, where the committee is located.
