Senior CPC official pays silent tribute to mudslide victim

He Guoqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) as well as secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, who is now investigating Nyingchi Prefecture in southeastern Tibet Autonomous Region, paid a silent tribute with local Tibetan people to victims of a massive mudslide in Zhouqu County in northwest China's Gansu Province, as thousands of soldiers are still battling for rescue work and disinfection efforts in the county, August 15, photo from Xinhua.
