Extra trains to run between Xining and Lhasa

Extra trains are going to run from Xining, capital city of southwest China's Qinghai Province to Lhasa, capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) to meet the increasing number of passengers to TAR, source from Qinghai-Tibet Railway Corporation.

Train K9811 from Xining to Lhasa will start to run on July 9,11 and 13, while Train K9812 from Lhasa to Xining on July 11,13 and 15. In addition, Trian K9811 will run daily from Xining to Lhasa from July 15, and Train K9812 will also run daily from Lhasa to Xining from July 17. Tickets will be available at the departure station and reservation can be made 11 days ahead of time, said official from Qinghai-Tibet Railway Corp.

Presently, the adjustment of locomotive and electrical equipment of the extra trains has been completed, and ticket booking has started at the train stations.
