Temporary train K9811/2 from Xining, capital of Qinghai Province, to Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, was cancelled as of September 1, according to the Tibet Business.

In the meantime, Train K918 from Lhasa to Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province, and Train K9802 from Lhasa to Xining resumed their original timetables, and passengers do not have to transfer at the Golmud Railway Station.
To meet the traffic demand during the peak tourist season in July and August, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company decided to add the temporary train K9811 as of July 15.
Besides, the departing time of Train K918 and Train K9802 were adjusted to 7:35 a.m. from 12:00 a.m.
Since the Lhasa Shoton Festival ended and the tourism fever faded, the Ministry of Railways has decided to call off the temporary train K9811/2 and resume the original timetables for Train 9801/2 and Train K917/8.
In addition, temporary Train L9806 from Golmud to Xining will be added on September 2.
