Asigen, a famous Tibetan singer on Tuesday held her first solo concert named "Mt. Qomolangma & Snowy Lotus" in Beijing to hail the upcoming 60th birthday of the founding of China Air Force which falls on November 11.

Co-sponsored by Publicity Department of Air Force Political Department and China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture, this solo concert is the first one for Tibetan singer to hold in Beijing.

The four-chapter concert knocked audiences over completely with its full Tibetan flavor. Most of the songs on the concert are Tibetan songs, some of which are listed as the national-level intangible culture heritages, such as, Batang Shinzi, Nangma etc.

Asigen said:"I have a strong desire to show audiences the charm of Tibetan folk music. It is a huge spiritual wealth from our ancestors which shall be carried on from one generation to another."

Besides, Tong Tiexin and Dingyi,  famous tenors in China also performed in the concert which were echoed with warm applause.

Born in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, Asigen acted as one of the soloists in Song and Dance Ensemble of Political Department, Headquarters Air Force after graduating from the Music Institute of Minzu University of China in 2004.
