"Entering Tibet", a large-scale dance drama for celebrating the 40th anniversary of Tibet Autonomous Region's establishment was shown at China Grand Theatre in Beijing yesterday.
Chinese senior officials Zhou Yongkang, Hua Jianmin, Liu Yandong, Liang Guanglie and Raidi, Vice Chairman of National People's Congress viewed this performance.
About another 1,000 people including retired cadres who have worked in Tibet viewed this dance drama.
The whole drama composed of five chapters displays the history, culture, scenery and great social changes of Tibet in 40 years' development.
Beginning with "Singing for Erlang Mountain", which aims at praising the construction of Sichuan-Tibet highway, the drama was performed through 19 selected Tibetan songs matching Tibetan folk dance to show a charming Tibet. Songs "Yearn for Eagle" and "Sky Road" as the epilogue are sung for the development of Tibetan civil aviation and Qinghai-Tibet railway.
