The Chinese government's efforts to boost the economic, cultural and social development of Tibet were praised by British councilors, who just finished their trip to Tibet.
The delegates of British councilors visited Tibet on Oct. 8 at the invitation of Tibet local government.
In Tibet, the group held a seminar with Tibetan officials and Tibetologists on current condition, human right and religion belief of the region.
On Oct.12 after coming back to London from Tibet, the group issued a report to introduce their trip to Tibet, lauding Tibet's economic, cultural and social development.
The report says Tibet has achieved a remarkable progress in economic and social industries under the help of Chinese central government, and the life of Tibetan people is improving greatly.
China also invested huge fund to accelerate the education in Tibet, according to the report.
To date, in Tibet there are 884 primary schools, 117 ordinary middle schools, 10 secondary vocational schools and 6 institutions of higher education.
According to the report, Tibet has more than 1,700 religionary sites, through which one can see Tibetans are enjoying from free religion belief.
The report also appreciates China's efforts made to protect as well as improve human right in Tibet.
The British councilors said they knew China's high regard to cultural preservation in Tibet by visiting the University of Tibet and experienced the religion of diversification in China after touring some Tibetan monasteries and Mosque.
Through the visit, the councilors expressed, they had produced a deeper insight into Tibet and knew that Chinese people including Tibetans themselves wish a peaceful development in Tibet.
