A snow storm has been hitting the southern part of China's Tibet Autonomous Region for three days and is expected to last for another day, according to the local weather station on Wednesday.
The regional meteorological station on Wednesday issued a new snow storm alert, saying the storm that started on Monday in Ali and Xigaze prefectures to the southern part of Tibet is expected to linger to Thursday.
Some areas will see snowfall of 25 millimeters in 24 hours, said the alert.
The weather department said the snow has increased difficulties to traffic and created losses to agriculture, but no casualties were reported so far.
