The ticket price of tourist attractions will be greatly reduced to further promote winter tourism in Nyingchi from mid-October of this year to the end of March 2010.

During the "National Day" golden week, the hotels, restaurants and the travel fee for vehicles will have 30%-50% discount, the tickets price of key tourist scenic spots will reduce 50%, and the tourists can enjoy favorable prices of flight tickets, Wanjun, director of Nyingchi Tourist Bureau said.

Up to now, there are 145 hotels and restaurants including 5 three-star level hotels, 14 two-star level hotels with total annual reception capacity of 2.5 million tourists in Nyingchi.

At present, the local tourism departments are making efforts to improve the management level and the quality of services. "

Nyingchi with the good climate, abundant natural resources is known as "Biological Gene Bank", "Eastern Switzerland", "Hinterland of Shambhala". And it's also the hometown for many historical and modern celebrities, including Nitri Tsampo (the first Tibetan king),  Tuden Gyatso (13th Dalai Lama) and Ngapoi Ngawang Jigme(vice-chairman of 11th CPPCC National Committee).
