Grand gala to be broadcast by TV and websites

2009 grand gala to celebrate Tibetan New Year will be live broadcast at 8 pm on Feb 24th by TV stations in Tibet as well as other websites.

With the Tibetan New Year approaching, Tibetans become more and more interested about the gala to celebrate the Tibetan New Year, which falls on Feb. 25. This year, people can enjoy the grand gala not only on TV but also on the websites, including China Tibet Information Center, Xinhua net, People's daily and Chinatibetnews.

Zhang Jian, director of the Tibet Television Station said: "This grand gala, more than four hours long will be live broadcast by satellites with both Tibetan and Chinese subtitles."
