Tibet honors patriotic monasteries and lamas

Chakzi Bsnyefdrak (Gelug Sect), deputy director of the Democratic Management Committee of Tashilhunpo Monastery has been honored on the commendatory meeting in Lhasa, photo from Xinhua.

Pawo living Buddha (Gegyu Sect) of Nenang Monastery in Doilungdeqen is getting the advanced award, photo from Xinhua.

A commendatory meeting sponsored by TAR Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission was held in Lhasa on February 18. Tashilhunpo Monastery, Qambaling Monastery and other 10 monasteries had received the patriotic advanced monasteries titles.

Chakzi Bsnyefdrak, deputy director of the Democratic Management Committee of Tashilhunpo Monastery, Tubdain Nyingbu, deputy director of the Democratic Management Committee of Ngangngur Monastery, Pawo living Buddha of Nenang Monastery as well as other 36 lamas had been commended on the meeting.
