Tibetan university authorized to confer three master's degrees
The Tibet Institute for Nationalities (TIN) was authorized to confer three master's degrees as primary disciplines including Chinese literature, ethnology and medicine, according to an official statement made by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.

Chi Wanxing, State Council expert told that the institute will be entitled to independent establishment and enrollment of the second-level disciplines, thanks to this degree conferral authorization.  

Currently, the institute only has six master's degree programs for second-level disciplines.
