Tibetan opera in Jioongba, Ngamring County, Xigaze is listed into one of the state's ten pivot ethnic folk art protection projects recently.
The state's project aims at protecting ethnic folk art all over China. Boasting a long history with her unique charm, Tibetan opera ranks as one of the ten pivot plans to be given priority safeguarding.
Tibetan Shinze dance in Qamdo, Gorshie dance in Lhoka and Tibetan carpet knitting in Xigaze are also listed as key ethnic folk arts to be protected at provincial level.
