Tibetan branch of Chinese Buddhists Association celebrated its 50th birthday in Lhasa September 3. One of Tibetan religious leader, the 11th Panchen Lama Erdini Gyantsen Norpo attended the celebration.
"Tibetan Buddhism locates itself in the mainstream to promote the national solidarity and development since the Peaceful Liberation, especially the establishment of Tibetan Buddhist Association.", said Tupdan Tsewang, vice chairman of Tibetan People's Political Consultative Conference on the celebration.
Dupkang·Tupden Kedup, president of Tibetan branch of Chinese Buddhists Association expressed appreciation to the policy toward the freedom of religious belief.
