A project with an investment of 200 million yuan (33 million US dollars) was launched recently, aiming to develop service facilities in Namtso Lake, Chinatibetnews.com reported.

The project mainly covers 310 mu of areas, including restaurant, hotel, shopping mall, living quarter, office building, parking lot as well as other auxiliary facilities.

The Namtso Lake sees more tourists this year than ever before, which on average receives 40,000 people per day during the peak tourist season. Authority said it is quite necessary to improve local service facilities.

Namtso Lake is one of three holy lakes in Tibet and should not be missed by any traveler to the region.
