Festival boosts flower sales in Lhasa

As Chinese traditional festival "double seventh festival" falls on Aug. 2 this year, this festival related with a famous love story boosts the consumption of flowers in Lhasa, capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region.

In the flower store named "the most beautiful" on Dekyi Road of Lhasa, dozens of species of flowers are burst into gorgeous bloom including multicolored lilies, roses and carnations, with which the store owner Mr. He makes bouquets.

"No matter celebrating birthday, visiting patients or opening new store, sending flowers has become fashion in Lhasa, let alone celebrating Valentine's Day. And during double seventh festival, the Chinese Valentine's Day I have sold hundreds of roses," According to He, the flowers of whose store are all come from Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province by air and have been well cared by him.
